Palmer led all New Orleans hitters with a .332 batting average and 73 hits in 53 games played in 2016. He drove in 37 runs while scoring 54 runs and was 18/19 on stolen base attempts. Prior to attending New Orleans, Palmer played for Northwest Florida State where he won a national championship. He played high school ball at Wayne County High School and was named All-Region during all four years and was named Player of the Year during his junior and senior seasons.
