Davidson played at Rollins College and was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 28th round of the 2002 MLB June Amateur Draft. From 2002 to 2007, he played in the Astros’ minor league system, hitting .248 with 15 home runs and 115 RBIs. He is also an assistant coach at Orangewood Christian, where River Rats assistant coach Scott Hilinski is the head coach. Davidson previously won two consecutive championships with the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs and coached under former River Rats head coach and three-time World Series winner Davey Johnson. Davidson is the all-time winningest coach in Florida League history. |
