Cameron Copping arrives in North Adams after relocating from California to the University of Buffalo. Copping was the Bulls’ third starter in just his first season with a Division I program, pitching out of the Mid-American Conference’s eastern division.

Copping finished this past spring third on the Bulls’ staff in the following categories: starts, innings pitched, strikeouts, and batters faced. Additionally, baserunners were not very successful against him as four of the nine who attempted to steal were thrown out.

In 2010, Copping made a team-high twelve starts for the Pasadena City College Lancers, as well as earning a save in three relief outings. The twelve starts were tied for third-most in the South Coast Conference. He led the staff in innings pitched (63), strikeouts (49), and batters faced (285). The 49 strikeouts were ninth-best in the conference, including 19 looking which was good enough for fifth. Copping demonstrated fine glovework and fielded his position perfectly with no errors. In the off-season he trained at the Full Count Baseball Academy in Pasadena, California under Matt Whisenant and former major league starter Glendon Rusch.
