Justin Leeson is another Big East competitor who’s taking his talents to North Adams for the SteepleCats tenth season in the NECBL. The big righty expects to patrol centerfield and create havoc on the base paths.

In 2011, Leeson exploded onto the scene in the nation’s capital and carried a heavy workload by starting in all 53 of the Hoyas games. Leeson finished just behind fellow SteepleCats teammate and Georgetown player Corbin Blakey with a .274 bating average while clubbing four home runs and adding 35 RBIs (3rd). He also proved to be the most efficient baserunner on the team by swiping 24 of 26 bases, a credit to his 29 walks, which was tied for the highest total this season. In batting at the top of the order, Leeson had 215 at-bats and 53 runs, both first. He also polished his résumé with a .372 OBP and a clean .976 fielding percentage.
