Josh, a Florida State Seminole, brings his ability to get on base and play right field to North Adams for the season.
Josh is another Florida native, one of many on this squad.  Born in Bartow, Delph attended the local Bartow High School where he was named team MVP and earned All-County honors his senior year.  In that senior year, he hit 428 with 3 home runs and 20 stolen bases and earned not only baseball honors, but was also named Polk County Male Student-Athlete of the year.  As a freshman as FSU, he hit 267 with 20 RBI.  His sophomore year saw him take over the leadoff duties and also lock down right field.  He upped his AVG to 270 with an impressive 468 on-base percentage, 32 runs scored and 5 stolen bases.  This past year saw even more improvement as his AVG climbed to 276.
As a SteepleCat, Delph’s ability to hit for a high average and get on base will be invaluable for Chris Cates.
