Steven Crabtree is in his second year with Weber International University, where he works with the hitters and catchers. Crabtree was raised in Florida and attended Navarre High School. He was a phenomenal shortstop in his time there with a 989 fielding percentage. Upon graduating, Crabtree attended Northwest Florida State and was a shortstop and second baseman for his college team. He then attended the University of Central Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. He then began working at Best 9 Sports as a head coach for Triple A hitting coach Phil Clark’s USSSA traveling baseball teams. In 2009, he began coaching at Nyack University working with the infielders and hitters. Crabtree then spent a brief period as the interim head coach at Freedom High School, before joining Webber International as a hitting coach and catching instructor. This will be Steven’s first season in North Adams. |
