Began the season with the Columbus Clippers, triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians…Battled a sore right knee for much of the season after hurting it in spring training…Hit .278 with a pair of home runs in April…Missed seven weeks of action from early May through late June…Played two games in Mahoning Valley in the New York-Penn League on a rehab assignment…Returned to triple-A on 6/24/09…Finished the year with Columbus hitting .246 with six home runs and 31 RBIs in 74 games

2008
Played the entire season with Akron, double-A affiliate of the Indians…Hit .290 with 13 home runs, 49 RBIs and a .780 OPS…Split time between first base and right field…Committed only two errors at first base in 484 chances for a .996 fielding percentage…Represented the Indians in the prestigious Arizona Fall League where he hit .250 in 10 games with the Surprise Rafters

2007
Began the season with the advanced single-A Kinston Indians…Batted mostly in the three spot in the order…Appeared in 70 games at first base and 17 in right field…Hit .251 in 102 games with 13 home runs and 61 RBIs…Promoted to double-A Akron the first week of August…Finished the year in Akron hitting .276  with three home runs and 18 RBIs in 26 games…Appeared in eight games with Akron as a first baseman and 18 as a right fielder

2006
Played the entire season with the Kinston Indians of the Carolina League…Hit .222 through July, but in August and September hit .276…Finished the season on a six-game hit streak…Finished the year with a .235 average and 14 homers and 73 RBIs in 130 games.
