Teague joins the Beach Bums following his senior season at Grand Valley State University in 2013. For the Lakers this past spring, he went 8-3 with a 1.69 ERA including a five-hit shutout of the #1 ranked Tampa Spartans in the Division II College World Series. He allowed opponents just nine extra-base hits in 90.1 innings and held batters to a .193 average against, 

As a junior Teague went 2-4 with a 5.59 ERA is D-II powerhouse Valdosta State. He pitched his initial two college seasons at Division-I Oakland University, for whom he went 7-10 in 30 appearances (23 starts), striking out 113 batters in 138.2 IP.
