Coaching Career-All-time winningest head coach in Texas Christian University history (517 wins). Coached at TCU for 17 seasons. Brown coached seven Major League products at TCU, and had 40 players drafted by MLB clubs including five in the 2003 draft. Brown coached in the Texas high school ranks from 1967-1983. He served as the pitching coach at Rice from 1983-1986 prior to his arrival in Fort Worth. Spent a short stint as the pitching coach at Texas Tech following his departure from TCU.

Playing Career-Former Southwest Conference Player of the Year as a pitcher at TCU.  Brown remains tied for the single-season wins mark at TCU, and is third in strikeouts in a single season. One of only two men to claim the Southwest Conference POY (1963) and Coach of the Year (1994).  Suited up for three minor league seasons in the Chicago Cubs organization.  Played for Treasure Valley in the Pioneer League, Quincy in the Midwest League, and Duluth in the Northern League. Career 2-6 record with a 3.76 ERA.
