Wilson returns to the Patriots for this third-stint in Somerset. The former second-round draft pick in 2001 also played with the Patriots in 2013 and 2014. Over 47 games in Somerset, Wilson has hit .305 with six home runs, 30 RBI, 34 runs and seven stolen bases.
The Oklahoma native spent the first 11 seasons of his professional career with the Seattle Mariners organization, reaching as high as the Majors in 2011. At the big league level, Wilson played in eight games, where he contributed three RBI and a double.
Wilson also made stops in Triple-A with the San Diego Padres in 2013 and the Cincinnati Reds in 2014.
Wilson split time between Laguna and Veracruz of the Mexican League earlier this season, along with a brief stint with Winnipeg of the American Association, tallying four home runs with 13 RBI over a combined 31 games.
The now-third-year Patriot has a .268 career minor league batting average with 1,066 hits, 186 home runs, 684 RBI and 86 stolen bases.
