The right-handed throwing Dan Kolodin makes the long trek from the Golden State all the way across the country to the Berkshires this summer to add another arm to Bryan Adamski’s deep pitching staff after recently completing his freshman season at the Division II University of California at San Diego, one of the top DII athletic programs in the country.

Kolodin finished with nine appearances – all out of the bullpen – with the Tritons this spring, posting a 7.45 ERA over 9 2/3 innings of action. He struck out four batters during his freshman campaign.

Kolodin played with the SoCal Quakes in the summer of 2010 and the SoCal Cardinals Red scout team in the fall of 2010 before graduating from Agorua High School in 2011..

The son of Steven and Graciela Casas-Kolodin, Dan was born Feb. 10, 1993 in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has an older brother, Christopher, a younger brother, David, and an older sister, Michelle. Kolodin is pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. Kolodin was an award-winning trumpet player in the jazz band at Agoura High School.
