Anderson is coming off a solid sophomore campaign at Georgetown, in which he played in 44 games, starting 35 of them, batting .254 (33-for-130) with 22 runs scored, 12 doubles, three home runs, 15 RBI and one stolen base.
In 2011, Anderson played in 43 games, starting 36 of them, batting .259 (29-for-112) with 16 runs scored, six doubles, 12 RBI and three stolen bases as a freshman.
Prior to Georgetown, Anderson was a three-year varsity starter at Guilderland High School in New York, where he was named team captain as a senior. As a junior, he was named a First Team All-Section 1B, a Times Union All-Star, a Troy Record All-Star and earned All-Area Honors. Anderson spent a post-graduate year at Northfield Mount Hermon Prep in Massachusetts, where he batted .450 with three home runs and 13 RBI in 13 games.
