The RailCats bring in former Major Leaguer, Carlos Sanabria, for his introductory season with the organization and his second in the American Association. Sanabria is a right-handed pitcher who was born and raised in Venezuela.

The 27-year-old started his career as an international free agent signee, going to the Houston Astros organization in 2014. In 2016, Sanabria made his way to the Tri-City ValleyCats, then managed by current RailCats manager, Lamarr Rogers. In 2018 and 2019 he was recognized as an all-star with the Quad Cities River Bandits and double-A Corpus Christi. As a Hook he was called on to pitch in 37 contests, where he had an impressive 3.11 earned run average, struck out 71, and added 55 innings to his name.

In the COVID-shortened 2020 season, the reliever was called up the show with the organization he signed with. On August 5th Dusty Baker brought Sanabria in to pitch the bottom of the eighth against the Arizona Diamondbacks, he recorded his first MLB strikeout against Christian Walker.
