Silva, a junior at University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, earned a 7-3 record with a 3.80 ERA in 15 appearances (14 starts). His 87.2 innings pitched was the most on his team by 13.2 innings. His best performance came when he struck out 11 in a complete-game shutout against Regis University. As  a sophomore, Silva posted a 3-4 record with a 6.61 ERA. As a freshman, he   compiled a 3-5 record with a 7.48 ErA in 10 starts. He attended and played baseball at Crespi-Carmelite High School.
