Turning down a professional contract from the LA Dodgers to pursue a Criminal Justice degree at Wichita State, Peters paced the Shocker freshman class in innings pitched this spring. He was used mainly as a short reliever and his best . outing came against Connecticut when he gave up just one run in seven innings while striking out three. Possessing a fastball that sits in the 90s and versatility to work both short and long innings of relief as well as start games, Peters is sure to be a valuable piece of the Gulls pitching plans this summer.
