Ottinger wrapped up his freshman season as a vital member of the West Virginia bullpen. The Marietta, GA native settled into college play, giving up just two earned runs in his final 11 innings pitched (ten appearances). With a fastball that reaches 90 mph, Ottinger was named a Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American in 2018 and was a member of WVU No. 26-ranked recruiting class the same year—the highest-rated class in program history.
