Tolson Jr., like his college teammate Marshall, joins the Honkers after completing his junior year at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Last year, he logged the third most starts, the third most innings pitched, and was fourth on his team with 25 strikeouts. Tolson Jr. went 4 ⅓ innings in his first start of the season, giving up only one run and striking out four. He also grinded out a 5 ⅓ inning effort to earn his first win. He was a two year varsity letter winner with academic honors at Stafford Senior High School.
