Originally from Miami, Florida, Raffan enters his first season with the Mallards. In 2004, Raffan started his freshman year at Miami Dades Community College where he would play for three years under coach Steve Hertz. After starting at shortstop for two years, Raffan redshirted in 2006 and transferred to the University of the Cumberlands. In 2008, he helped lead the Patriots to a 43-16 record and a Mid-South Conference championship. Raffan still resides in Florida and coaches at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale under head coach Greg Brown. Under Raffan’s guidance, the Sharks finished this past season at 35-18, good for second place in the Sunshine State Conference. |
