Manager Brian Bigam has had a lifelong relationship with baseball, and has been coaching at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels since he began his teaching career in 2002.

Most recently, Bigam served as the head baseball coach for Ohio Christian University, where his team placed in the NCCAA World Series and he was named NCCAA Midwest Coach of the Year three years in a row. Bigam also served as Assistant Coach for the University of Indianapolis baseball team for two seasons, following his time as a player, where his team played in the Division II World Series (1999), and he was named All-GLVC (2001).

Bigam is no stranger to the Chillicothe Paints organization—holding coaching roles in seven seasons since 2007. Prior to being named manager for the 2016 season, Bigam’s pitching staff led the Prospect League in ERA.

Bigam currently teaches math at Circleville High School. He has coached football, women’s basketball, and baseball for the school. As head coach for the varsity baseball team (2006-2009 & since 2017), Bigam’s team earned the 2008 district championship and, in 2018, became the first in Pickaway County to play in the OHSAA State Baseball Tournament.

Bigam is married to Nicole, and has three kids—Maddux, Glavine and Kimbrel. By their names alone, it’s probably obvious he is also a Braves fan.
