Erie, 27, spent the last two seasons with the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association.  Last year, the Louisville, KY native batted .282 in 80 games played as the team’s primary backstop.  Following a standout four-year college career at Northern Kentucky, Erie made his pro debut in the Frontier League, batting .337 over 25 games in 2011, his first of two seasons spent with Lake Erie.  Erie then spent a third season in the Frontier League with Evansville in 2013, batting .294 during that campaign.  The sixth-year pro is a career .266 hitter.
