The Grand Prairie (13-10) and the Laredo (10-13) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Grand Prairie that eventually took advantage of them in a 2-1 win at QuikTrip Park.

The Grand Prairie held off the Laredo, as the Laredo were unable to overcome a two-run sixth inning deficit.

The Laredo scored one run in the seventh on. Despite their efforts, the Laredo couldn't finish the comeback.

Yasutsugu Nishimoto had a hot bat for the Grand Prairie. Nishimoto went 2-2, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

Nick DeBarr racked up five strikeouts in the the Grand Prairie win. DeBarr allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks over six innings.

Manny Ayala (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed one run.
