The San Angelo Colts (44-41) jumped out to an early lead on the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (48-36) and captured a 13-1 victory on Thursday at Foster Field.

The game was decided quickly as the San Angelo Colts exerted their will early with six runs in the first three innings.

An RBI triple by J.J. Sherrill, an RBI single by Daryl Jones, an RBI double by Salvador Paniagua, an RBI single by Jamar Walton, an RBI single by Landon Camp, and during the first inning supplied the early offense for the San Angelo Colts.

Jones racked up two RBIs on three hits for the San Angelo Colts.

The San Angelo Colts got the win thanks in large part to Mark Willinsky's dominant, eight-strikeout performance. Willinsky allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk over eight innings.

Erinzon Bautista (2-2) took the loss for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

The San Angelo Colts easily handled the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
