A superb effort by Jason Martin hoisted the Abilene Prairie Dogs (23-38) to a 5-3 win in seven innings over the San Angelo Colts (32-31) on Sunday at Foster Field.
Martin hit two home runs for the Abilene Prairie Dogs. Martin went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Martin homered in the third and seventh innings.
The San Angelo Colts jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The San Angelo Colts led until the seventh inning, but the Abilene Prairie Dogs took the lead back on a two-run home run by Martin.
Woods Fines got the win, running his season record to 4-7. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered five hits.
Michael Hacker was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
