The San Angelo Colts get key pinch-hit in 14-13 victory over the Abilene Prairie Dogs

Cory Patton was cold coming off the bench, but Patton warmed up quickly as Patton stroked a key pinch-hit single in the eight to lead the San Angelo Colts (31-30) to a 14-13 win over the Abilene Prairie Dogs (22-37) on Saturday at Foster Field.

With the San Angelo Colts trailing by two in the eighth inning, Patton came to the plate and singled, plating Jason Diaz.

Patton racked up three RBIs on two hits for the San Angelo Colts.

A walk-off single by Ryan Hutson gave the San Angelo Colts the win.

Hutson paced the San Angelo Colts at the plate. Hutson went 1-3 and scored one run. He singled in the fifth and tenth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 27 total runs and 34 hits during the game. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using 11 pitchers in total.
