The Abilene Prairie Dogs get on top of the San Angelo Colts early but can't hang on in 2-1 loss

The Abilene Prairie Dogs (13-17) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 2-1 ballgame against the San Angelo Colts (15-15) on Sunday at Foster Field.

The San Angelo Colts took the lead in the seventh inning on an RBI single by Daryl Jones.

Jones was hot from the plate for the San Angelo Colts. Jones went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Mark Willinsky picked up the win for the San Angelo Colts. Willinsky allowed one earned run, 12 hits and no walks while striking out two over eight innings of work.

Todd Weldon (0-3) took the loss for the Abilene Prairie Dogs. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
