The Grand Prairie AirHogs jump on the Sioux Falls Pheasants early and coast to 12-1 win

The Grand Prairie AirHogs (53-47) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Sioux Falls Pheasants (45-55), recording a 12-1 victory on Thursday at QuikTrip Park.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed the Grand Prairie AirHogs to put the game away early.

An RBI triple by Brian Myrow and a groundout by Andres Rodriguez in the first inning and an RBI single by Scott Clement, an RBI single by Keanon Simon, an RBI single by Bryan Frichter, a two-run double by Myrow, an RBI double by Rodriguez, an RBI single by John Alonso, and an RBI single by Clement during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Grand Prairie AirHogs.

Myrow racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs relied on John Brownell to eat up innings en route to the win. Brownell allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.

A bright spot for the Sioux Falls Pheasants in the defeat was Thomas Heithoff, who allowed only zero runs while striking out seven.

Barry Fowler couldn't get it done on the bump for the Sioux Falls Pheasants, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out none.
