Mike Conroy collected three hits as the Wichita Wingnuts (46-33) took home an 8-3 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes (46-32) at Shaw Park on Friday.
He singled in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings.The Winnipeg Goldeyes couldn't get anything going as long as Josh Lowey was on the mound. The Winnipeg Goldeyes managed just two hits off of the the Wichita Wingnuts' pitcher, who allowed three earned runs, walked four and struck out two during his seven innings of work.
Andrew Walker ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked none and struck out five.
