Kain's single gives the Amarillo Sox walk-off win over the Wichita Wingnuts, 3-2

A walk-off single from Harrison Kain brought home the winning run for the Amarillo Sox (26-23) in a 3-2 victory over the Wichita Wingnuts (32-16) at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stad on Sunday.

The Amarillo Sox were led by Kain's hitting. Kain went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the third, seventh, and ninth innings.

Matthew Tucker was hot from the plate for the Amarillo Sox. Tucker went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Ryan Mitchell baffled the Wichita Wingnuts, striking out nine batters. Mitchell allowed two earned runs, nine hits and one walk over 6 2/3 innings.

Chase Johnson improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Amarillo Sox. Johnson struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.

Jared Simon (1-2) took the loss for the Wichita Wingnuts. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
