The bats were busy at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stad on Friday, and when the dust cleared the Amarillo Sox (25-22) had a 14-8 win over the Worcester Tornadoes.

The teams totaled 20 hits in the game.

The Amarillo Sox left no doubt in the outcome with six runs in the seventh.

Tim Alberts racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Amarillo Sox. He singled in the fourth inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

The Amarillo Sox relied on Jack Spradlin to eat up innings en route to the win. Spradlin pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out four.

Kevin Cooper was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three.
