Tim Alberts racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Amarillo Sox. He singled in the fourth inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.
The Amarillo Sox relied on Jack Spradlin to eat up innings en route to the win. Spradlin pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out four.
Kevin Cooper was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three.
