The Grand Prairie AirHogs' McMurray comes through in the clutch, upends the Amarillo Sox, 7-4

Chris McMurray brought home the go-ahead run to give the Grand Prairie AirHogs (27-13) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Grand Prairie AirHogs hung on to beat the Amarillo Sox (21-19) 7-4 on Friday.

Andres Rodriguez to start the eighth. He then went from first to second on a single by Greg Porter. Finally, McMurray came to the plate with the score tied at four in the eighth inning, and tripled, plating Rodriguez and Porter.

McMurray racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He singled in the sixth innings and tripled in the eighth inning.

John Brownell allowed two earned runs, six hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

The Amarillo Sox's Matthew Tucker was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Derrick Miramontes got the win, running his season record to 3-1. Miramontes struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Wes Littleton (2-3) took the loss for the Amarillo Sox. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
