Early lead not enough for the Sioux City, drop 6-2 decision to the Grand Prairie

The Sioux City (5-8) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Grand Prairie (8-5) roared back to steal a 6-2 victory at Lewis _ Clark Park.

While the Sioux City led until the sixth inning, the Grand Prairie worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI double by Andres Rodriguez.

Kenny Held racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Grand Prairie. He homered in the fifth inning.

A bright spot for the Sioux City in the defeat was Jason Jarvis, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Ronnie Morales improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Grand Prairie. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Eddie Delacruz was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
