After eight lead changes in Sunday's game at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium, the Washington Wild Things (18-29) finally pulled out a 8-7 win over the Schaumburg Boomers (29-19).
Robbie Garvey was hot from the plate for the Washington Wild Things. Garvey went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the ninth inning.
Chandler Barnard recorded his first win of the year for the Washington Wild Things. Barnard struck out one, walked none and gave up four hits.
Patrick Mincey couldn't get it done on the bump for the Schaumburg Boomers, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
