Finally, Baumann came to the plate with the score tied at three, and hit into a fielder's choice, scoring McQuail.The Schaumburg Boomers staved off the Rockford RiverHawks as the Rockford RiverHawks were unable to match the Schaumburg Boomers down the stretch.
The Rockford RiverHawks scored one run in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Ted Obregon. Still, the Rockford RiverHawks couldn't draw even.
