Christensen stars as the London Rippers defeat the Washington Wild Things, 8-6

A great effort by David Christensen spurred the London Rippers (17-25) to an 8-6 win over the Washington Wild Things (15-26) on Saturday at Labatt Park.

Christensen blasted two home runs for the London Rippers. Christensen went 3-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Christensen homered in the second and fifth innings.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with five lead changes.

The Washington Wild Things couldn't get anything going so long as David Francis was on the hill. Francis held the Washington Wild Things hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Will Arnold racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Washington Wild Things. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Chris Kaminski got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Nick Cicio was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
