A magnificent effort by Rogelio Noris spurred the Gateway Grizzlies (57-39) to an 8-3 win over the Rockford RiverHawks (41-55) on Sunday at GCS Ballpark - Sauget, IL.
Noris hit two home runs for the Gateway Grizzlies. Noris went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Noris homered in the third and fifth innings.
The Gateway Grizzlies got the win thanks in large part to Paul Tremlin's dominant, six-strikeout performance. The Gateway Grizzlies' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.
Jet Butler put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Rockford RiverHawks. He doubled in the second inning, homered in the seventh inning, and singled in the ninth inning.
