Paul Tremlin held the River City Rascals (34-36) scoreless for seven innings to boost the Gateway Grizzlies (41-29) to a 9-0 victory.

Tremlin allowed four hits, four walks and struck out five.

Landon Hernandez hit two home runs for the Gateway Grizzlies. Hernandez went 2-3 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Hernandez homered in the fifth and sixth innings.

The Gateway Grizzlies blew out the River City Rascals thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Gateway Grizzlies scored three runs in the fifth on a solo home run by Hernandez, a sacrifice fly by Jon Myers, and an RBI single by Chris McClendon.

Preston Vancil ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his eighth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out four.
