The Gateway Grizzlies come from behind to beat the Rockford RiverHawks, 12-6

The Gateway Grizzlies (34-25) trailed by five in the seventh, but Alex Guthrie was able to capture the lead back with a wild pitch in the seventh, spurring the Gateway Grizzlies to a 12-6 win over the Rockford RiverHawks (26-32) at GCS Ballpark - Sauget, IL on Monday.

Jerod Yakubik went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Gateway Grizzlies. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.

The Rockford RiverHawks had no answer for Zac Treece, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Treece held the Rockford RiverHawks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Logan Mahon recorded his second win of the year for the Gateway Grizzlies. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Andrew Armstrong couldn't get it done on the bump for the Rockford RiverHawks, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
