David Harden held the London Rippers (25-35) scoreless for six innings to boost the Southern Illinois Miners (42-31) to a 7-0 victory.

Harden allowed one hit, one walk and struck out five.

Matt Fields paced the Southern Illinois Miners at the plate. Fields went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Sheng-An Kuo (0-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
