The Windy City ThunderBolts take out the Lake Erie Crushers with help from Wood, 5-1

Kyle Wood went 1-2, helping the Windy City ThunderBolts (24-22) to a 5-1 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (19-25) on Wednesday at Standard Bank Stadium.

He doubled in the second inning.

Jake Fisher got the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts thanks to eight strikeouts. Fisher allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over seven innings.

Jose Barraza reached base two times in the game for the Lake Erie Crushers. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

The Windy City ThunderBolts couldn't get anything going so long as Juan Caballero was on the hill. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just two hits off of the the Lake Erie Crushers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Justin Sinibaldi (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
