Mason Salazar was cold coming off the bench, but Salazar warmed up quickly as Salazar stroked a key pinch-hit single in the two to lead the Florence Freedom (26-33) to an 11-4 win over the Joliet Slammers (30-28) on Saturday at UC Health Stadium.
With Salazar came to the plate and singled.

Cody Gray got the win for the Florence Freedom thanks to six strikeouts. Gray allowed one earned run, eight hits and two walks over seven innings.
Sean Townsley couldn't get it done on the bump for the Joliet Slammers, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
