Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Southern Illinois Miners (42-17) outscored the Washington Wild Things (29-29) 12-10.

The two teams combined for 26 hits in the game.

Steve Marino racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Southern Illinois Miners. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Dustin Batson brought the heat against the Washington Wild Things during his outing. The Washington Wild Things managed just one hit off of the the Southern Illinois Miners' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Nick Palacios improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Southern Illinois Miners. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Andrew Woeck was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
