The Gateway Grizzlies (19-20) built an early lead against the River City Rascals (19-18), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-2 win on Friday at CarShield Field.

Tyler Tewell racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He doubled in the first and second innings.

Will Landsheft picked up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. Landsheft allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Will Schierholz had an impressive outing against the Gateway Grizzlies' lineup. Schierholz held the Gateway Grizzlies hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Zeb Sneed (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked four and struck out two.
