The Washington Wild Things (19-16) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Traverse City Beach Bums (11-24) roared back to steal a 3-1 victory at Wuerfel Park.
The Traverse City Beach Bums took the lead in the seventh inning on a solo home run by Kendall Patrick.
Patrick was solid at the plate for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Patrick went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.
The Washington Wild Things had no answer for Rob Blanc, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Blanc gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.
Chase Cunningham pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out four.
Cunningham ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year.
