Reese Gregory came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Gregory reached on a error in the six to lead the River City Rascals (11-7) to a 5-1 win over the Schaumburg Boomers (7-12) on Friday at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.

With the game scoreless in the sixth inning reached on an error.

Griff Gordon racked up two RBIs on three hits for the River City Rascals. He singled in the second and fifth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Josh Wright put together a nice outing. The Schaumburg Boomers managed just three hits off of Wright, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out four during his five innings of work.

The Schaumburg Boomers were led by Josh Gardiner's hitting. Gardiner went 2-4 and scored one run. He tripled in the sixth inning.

Gregory recorded his first win of the year for the River City Rascals. Gregory struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.

Patrick Dolan was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
