A walk-off single from Jose Vargas brought home the winning run for the Traverse City Beach Bums (5-8) in a 3-2 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (8-4) at Wuerfel Park on Saturday.

Will Kengor had a hot bat for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Kengor went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Juan Avila racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the second and ninth innings.

Andrew Brockett improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Brockett struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Fernando Gallegos (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
