The River City Rascals (4-3) beat the Florence Freedom (2-6) 4-2 in eight innings on Wednesday at UC Health Stadium behind Willi Martin, who drove in three runs.

Lucas Laster had an impressive outing against the Florence Freedom's lineup. The Florence Freedom managed just one hit off of Laster, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Zac Treece recorded his first win of the year for the River City Rascals. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Matt Pobereyko ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
