Mitchell helps the Florence Freedom down the Lake Erie Crushers 4-2

Zac Mitchell went 2-3 and hit a home run, helping the Florence Freedom (30-32) to a 4-2 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (25-34) on Thursday at All Pro Freight Stadium.

He singled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Chuck Weaver struck out eight hitters en route to the the Florence Freedom win. Weaver allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks over 7 2/3 innings.

Trevor Longfellow couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lake Erie Crushers, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
