The Schaumburg Boomers (5-2) beat the Washington Wild Things (1-4) 7-6 in eight innings on Sunday at CONSOL Energy Park behind Alexi Colon, who went 2-2.

He singled in the second and seventh innings.

Edinson Rincon racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Washington Wild Things. He doubled in the fifth inning.

Dexter Price improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Pat Butler was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
