The White Sands Pupfish (37-30) didn't put up much of a fight on Tuesday, as the Alpine Cowboys (42-26) cruised to a blowout 11-5 win at Kokernot Field.
A three-run home run by Daniel Aldrich and an RBI double by Kyle Rodriguez helped the Alpine Cowboys score four runs in the fourth. The Alpine Cowboys had three hits in the inning.
Aldrich racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Alpine Cowboys.
Aaron Olivas got on base three times in the game for the White Sands Pupfish. He doubled in the first inning.
David Gates recorded his first win of the year for the Alpine Cowboys. Gates struck out none, walked three and gave up no hits.
Cameron Powers ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed 11 runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out six.
