Both the White Sands Pupfish (37-26) and the Las Cruces Vaqueros (18-46) put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the White Sands Pupfish that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-4 win at Apodoca Park.

Wes Wallace boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the White Sands Pupfish. He homered in the third inning and singled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Colbin McGwire brought the heat against the Las Cruces Vaqueros during his outing. McGwire gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Las Cruces Vaqueros' Kyle Cross dominated the White Sands Pupfish's batters, giving up three runs and striking out 10.

Anthony Pastrana recorded his fourth win of the year for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed three runs over six innings. Pastrana struck out seven, walked three and gave up seven hits.

Anthony Pisano ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
